To You Direct from the Nations!

It seems like there is no end to reaching this world with the glorious message of our wonderful Lord Jesus.  Since December we have journeyed some 65,000 miles from the east coast of Florida, U.S.A. to Argentina, South America to the Nation of Trinidad/Tobago in the West Indies, then to Korea and the Philippines in Asia, then to Capetown, South Africa and finally on to Belgium and Holland in Europe.  Now, May 11 (Mother’s Day) we are finally home again right back where we started from.  We did have a little time between nations to wash clothes, answer E-mails and repack clothes.  What a life for two 78 year old senior citizens.  But we love it because it’s all for Jesus whom we have loved and served all these many years.  (See attached statistics). Your love and prayers for us during these extensive flights and tiring airlines changes have really helped.  Getting to the nations is rough; once there it’s wonderful as God moves by His Spirit.  Here is a little rundown on some the events of the nations where we have recently ministered:

ARGENTINA – Many hundreds attended our annual Kingsway Convention in Buenos Aires with host pastor, Adrian Juniors.  Our KFI team all did a great job with many wonderful results.  From there we went down to Punta Alta to our National Director, Mario Rojas, where we again had a packed audience and great meetings.  Finally, we ended up in Mar del Plata with Pastor Omar Olier at the great central church.  Again hundreds came nightly for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

TRINIDAD – Our annual ministry in this island nation proved once again to be so fruitful as we shared the Word of God in many churches including our home church, Agape, with our pastors, Sam and Grace Philip.  Subesh and Debbie Ramjattan, our host with the most, graciously took us everywhere and provided for our every need.  The saints in Trinidad also blessed us financially when we had great need for a new smaller vehicle that would get us good gas mileage.  We do praise the Lord for all His rich blessings upon us.

PHILIPPINES – Our ‘great love’ in missions was once again the scene of such blessed times.  The team God gave us was so precious and so much was accomplished in a short 3 weeks there.  It was to be our beloved John Petrucelli’s last missions trip to the land that he so loved.  (See special note below).  Even though weak physically, he was a real blessing to the team and the nations.  We celebrated the 50TH Golden Anniversary of Miracle Mission in Northern Luzon founded by the late Dr. Clyde V. Shields.  We spoke at 3 graduations and in several churches throughout the region.  Mama and I went on down to the Island of Bohol in the south and again had a precious time of ministry in several churches.  On our way home we spent a day in KOREA for rest and prayer over that nation.

SOUTH AFRICA – Capetown is one of the only cities in the whole world where I might want to live.  It is absolutely beautiful and the people of God we met there are just as beautiful.  It was one of the most delightful missions trips we have ever taken.  Our hosts, Chris and Maxine Brochu and their girls, could not do enough for us.  Both the Sonship School of Ministry as well as the various meetings they arranged were all ordained of God and a mighty blessing.  On the final Sunday night everyone of the hundreds in the auditorium passed by Mama and I and we anointed them with oil for the blessing of God upon their future.  Some were saved, some healed, many baptized in the Spirit and all were blessed.  Following the anointed meetings, the next few days were really our reward as the Brochus took us on some of the finest sight-seeing we have ever experienced.  How truly blessed we were to visit South Africa as we saw the place where the Huguenots first came when they were driven out of France by the fanatical Catholic regime.  They not only brought revival to South Africa but also some of the finest grape vineyards for the famous South African wines that are exported throughout the world.

EUROPE – Our annual Kingsway European Convention was held again this year in Charleroi, Belgium followed by a wonderful day in Holland.  The hotel ballroom was filled with dancing and praises to God as the worship team led by our own Joseph and Josiane Heyde, KFI European Directors, took us into the heavenlies with their anointed music.  God also sent us anointed musicians from the States who were a real blessing in the meetings – Sheena Lewis from Houston, anointed recording artist – Tony Robertson from D.C., saxophonist extraordinaire – A.J. Correles from Indianapolis, keyboardist and Spanish preacher – and our own son, Tim Doorn, from Lafayette, IN who blessed us with his trumpet and preaching. Our KFI bishop and his wife, Bill and Sherry Jenkins along with John and Shirley Helmuth, our Associate Missions Directors, made up our missions team.  Following the meetings we took a special prayer walk trip to Holland, Papa Doorn’s native land, and visited the quaint village where John Calvin first preached during the Great Reformation.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Our beloved friend and associate, Rev. John Petrucelli (74) went to be with the Lord at 3:45 P.M. EDT U.S.A. time on Monday, May 12TH.  Just the moment before he departed, he looked toward the window and said “Heaven” and with that he was gone.  Mama and I stood around his bed with the family, joined hands and sang “Yes, we’ll gather at the river, the beautiful, beautiful river; Gather with the saints at the river that flows from the throne of God!”  Pastor John loved to sing and we knew in that moment that he was singing it with us.
